The Gemeinschaftsatelier Hardstrasse 69 is a shared working studio for freelance architects/photographers/graphic artists/illustrators that was founded in 2021. Since 2022, I have had the pleasure of having my studio space in this studio.

Fundstücke is a series of lectures (10 slides, 10 comments) and a form of “open house”. On five evenings a year, the door is open to friends, colleagues and interested parties. The lectures are given by the tenants of the studio community and offer an insight into their different working methods and disciplines. At the same time, they serve as a platform for the exchange of ideas and representation of the studio to the outside.

In the search for new forms of expression, we as creative professionals repeatedly encounter the moment when a found “piece” (for example a new work experience, source of inspiration, encounters, ...) becomes the guiding idea/reference for our own working process. Fundstücke reflects this process from the perspective of different design disciplines.
I translated the basic idea visually into simple geometric shapes, which interact and overlap in different ways. The newly created forms reflect the process of discovering new found “pieces” and creating something new from them.
