The Salzhaus is a cultural venue run by the city of Winterthur in the city's former salt warehouse. In december 2022 I was asked to create the december poster for them.
The initial visual is based on an AI-generated image, which served as the starting point for the specially created lettering. The spherical letters that form the word “Salzhaus” are superimposed over the background like ice flowers over a window. In animated form, a kind of mechanism is also created that resembles the gears of a ticking clock – because end of the year is gradually drawing to a close in december.

Two years later I repurposed the poster as a cover for my hand-bound sketchbooks and I love how the blueback poster paper resonates with the colors of my design.
