In April 2016 myself and three other designers (working in 2D animation, illustration and graphic design) spent a month in Kriti Gallery, an artist in residence gallery located in Varanasi, India. Through drawing, filming and photographing we turned our impressions of the colourful variety India has to offer into expressive works of art.
Upon our return we displayed our works in the exhibition Varanasi Experiences in June, 2016. The exhibition was held at Teiggi, a former art space in Kriens, Luzern – a location we specifically picked for its apparent dichotomy to the exhibition-content: small-town Swiss idyll meets the Indian way of life with it’s vast and endless variety.
